Phishing

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that in the last few days, phishing/fraudulent messages have been sent on our behalf via e-mail and other communication channels with untruthful content.

In all cases, scammers use inappropriate links, URLs, to direct people to phishing sites. If the link does not end with .....foxpost.hu, but has anything other than the word "foxpost" alone before the last dot AND anything other than hu after the last "." (dot), then it is a fraudulent (!) link.

In most cases, the phishing messages are sent by attackers on behalf of known companies. It is difficult to distinguish them from authentic, real messages because they use company logos, graphic elements and data.

Phishing emails often resemble the real thing in detail, with malicious links designed to look like a redirect to the company's real website. However, the links can lead to sites where fraudsters can obtain the details of our residential users and business partners, which they can later misuse.

How can phishing emails be detected?

The information contained in the emails may be inaccurate or contain spelling mistakes, incorrect language or sentences translated by an online program.

The email contains a direct payment link. Before you click on any link, please hover your cursor over the link so that your browser displays a preview of the link, i.e. the page you are about to click on. On a mobile device, you can do the same thing by holding down the link with your finger.

If you come across an unusual and suspicious link, don't click on it!

If you suspect that you have been the target of a phishing attack, please ignore such mails and do not click on the suspicious link in the e-mail sent "on behalf of FOXPOST", as these are not official notifications sent by FoxPost Ltd.

The problem has been reported to the competent authorities and a complaint has been filed.

If scammers try to get your data over the phone, do not give it out under any circumstances!

Please note that FOXPOST will never ask you for your bank account login details by phone or otherwise. Furthermore, we will not initiate any phone calls to confirm delivery. If you receive such a call, please disconnect the call.

During the upcoming peak season, we expect to see a further increase in fraud attempts, so be careful and keep your data safe! In case of financial loss, contact your bank and the police as soon as possible.
